Açaí - Amazonian fruit from a large palm tree that can reach up to 25 meters (82+ feet). Açaí grows in bunches and there are 3-8 bunches per tree. Açaí has nutrient properties and is rich in fats, proteins and vitamins A, B1 and E. Shop for Acai at RainFloresta now.

Castanha-do-Pará - Present in the entire Amazon region. Its fruit weighs between 500 and 1500 grams (1-3 pounds) and contains 15-24 nuts. The nuts are greatly appreciated for consumption, and from them one can extract an oil rich in nutrients.

Cupuaçu - Derived from a medium-sized tree from the Amazon. It has a brown skin and in its interior innumerous seeds are found surrounded by a white pulp, frequently utilized in the production of refreshments, ice creams and confections.

Priprioca - From the Ciperacea family, it is an herbaceous plant cultivated for the medicinal properties of the dye extracted from its rootstalk, known to reduce fevers. It is also used by the natives as a perfume due to its pleasant and exotic aroma.

Patchouli - Of the family of the Labiates, it is used in dermatology, esthetics and in skincare. It has antidepressant and soothing therapeutic properties. Its agreeable perfume is often used in sachets and aromatic baths.

Preciosa - A medium to large tree (Aniba canellila), it is found throughout the Amazon, in firm ground. Very aromatic, it exhales a mixed aroma of cinnamon and rose. Humboldt, in his trip through the Amazon, cited the species as a "cinnamon from Orenoco". It is used in the formulation of the "cheiro do Pará", to perfume clothes.

Buriti - Buriti is a large palm tree which reaches up to 35 meters (114 feet) in height. It's brown-red fruit, rich in oily/fatty materials, vitamin C and pro-vitamin A, has a high nutritious value.
